About Homebase

The roofer that treats your house like home base.

Locally owned, locally lived-in, and here for the warranty call three years from now.

Homebase Roofing was founded by Curtis Dunn in 2014 after 12+ years working on North Texas roofs for someone else. The idea was simple: build the roofing company we'd want to hire — one that answered the phone, showed up on time, priced honestly, and stuck around for the warranty.

What "home base" means

Big storm-chaser outfits fly into North Texas after every hail event, sign porch contracts, install shingles fast, and disappear before anything goes wrong. When something does — a leak, a lifted shingle, a warranty question — the number is disconnected.

We named the company Homebase because that's the opposite of what we do. Our office is on Alma Drive in Plano. Our crew lives here. Our phone number has been the same for 12 years. When you call about a shingle in year eight, someone will answer.

What we believe

  • Publish prices. Every other roofer in North Texas hides them. We publish ranges by size and material on our pricing page. Hiding prices is how homeowners get overcharged.
  • The right fix, not the biggest fix. If you need a $400 pipe-boot repair, we sell you a $400 pipe-boot repair. Not a $12,000 replacement.
  • Show your work. Every job comes with before, during, and after photos. Insurance adjusters get the same set.
  • Warranty means warranty. Ten years on our labor. Manufacturer coverage on materials. Both in your hand on install day.

Credentials

  • Fully insured — general liability and workers' compensation certificates provided on request before work begins
  • Manufacturer-approved shingle systems installed to spec so material warranties stay valid
  • 12+ years serving Collin County
  • 1,400+ roofs installed
  • 950+ insurance claims handled
  • 5.0 average rating across 128+ reviews

The crew

Our install teams are W-2 employees, not day-labor subs. That means the same faces on every job, real training, and accountability that follows every shingle. When we say "our crew," we mean it.

A residential tear-off in the North Dallas area. Tarps staged, magnetic sweeper already on the lawn — that setup happens before the first shingle comes off, and it's the fastest way to tell a real crew from a rushed one.

Roughly a third of our work is commercial, and it's handled by the same people. Low-slope membrane, parapet detail work, coatings, and maintenance programs for property managers across the North Dallas area — the same crews, on the same standards, just a different roof. You can see that side of the work on our commercial roofing page and in the photo gallery, which is entirely our own job-site photography.
